Meet the new Coarsegold.com (and learn a bit about the old one)
24-Dec-2009Coarsegold.com was created in 1999, after we searched "Coarsegold, CA" on the Web and found no information whatsoever. This is a bit embarrassing to admit, but it went unchanged for years. And years. At last we are in the process of giving it a new look and feel. Our contact forms are working once again, so drop us a line if you have links or ideas.
Here are some quick FAQs about the website:
FAQs
Q: What's with the advertisements?
A: They help pay for hosting and other costs associated with running the website.
Q: Is this the official Coarsegold website?
A: There is no official Coarsegold website. Coarsegold is an unincorporated town in Eastern Madera County. Its political boundaries are known only to local surveyors and school districts (and these boundaries are sometimes a matter of dispute!). If you're looking for official data, you might check out our home and links pages - or contact one of the real estate agents who are listed on the Coarsegold real estate page and advertise on our page margins.
Q: How do I get my Coarsegold business or personal website listed/linked to this site?
A: Please use our contact form on the contact us page. Unfortunately, we must limit our links/listings to Coarsegold residents and businesses (unless your business is an Eastern Madera County attraction or event that Coarsegold folks would be interested in).
Q: How do I get my Coarsegold business or personal information (or just my email address) removed from this site?
A: Ditto.
Q: Do you have a privacy policy?
A: Yes. We will not sell, lend, rent, or otherwise give out your email address or any other personal information to any individual or company - nor will we send you any unsolicited email ourselves.
Q: Who owns this website?
A: Coarsegold.com is owned by Jonathan and Denise Franks. We live just east of the Quartz Mountain subdivision - south of Indian Lakes Estates and north east of Yosemite Lakes Park.
Q: Is there really a town up there?
A: You bet. It's a friendly little place, with everything you might need if you're on your way to Yosemite or heading to or from the Chukchansi Gold casino. Come on by.
